The Business Council of Manitoba’s Indigenous Education Awards Program was established by the Business Council of Manitoba in 2001.  Over the years, the program has partnered with the governments of Canada, Manitoba, and The Winnipeg Foundation to provide over 2,600 awards totaling more than $6.8 million to Indigenous students.

Our Award recipients’ academic interests span the entire range of what our post-secondary institutions offer. Almost all our recipients are graduating and finding employment in their chosen fields of business administration, medicine, dentistry, social work, nursing, commerce, education, law, trades, Indigenous self-governance and many more.

Every recognized post-secondary educational institution in this province – Assiniboine Community College, Booth University College, Brandon University, Canadian Mennonite University, Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology, Providence University College, Red River College Polytechnic, Steinbach Bible College, Université de Saint Boniface, University College of the North, University of Manitoba, University of Winnipeg – has been fully supportive of this program and integral to its continued success.
