Cambrian Credit Union is pleased to offer the Learning for Life scholarship award for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Each year, Cambrian awards academic bursaries to Manitoba students through the Learning for Life scholarship.

The award is open to any Cambrian member who will be attending a recognized post-secondary institution in Manitoba in the 2026-27 academic year.

About the award

The Learning for Life scholarship helps support students who are pursuing post-secondary education and exemplify leadership in one of the following areas:

Unstoppable Potential

Outstanding community leadership and volunteerism while excelling academically.

All applicants are automatically entered for this award.

Award amount: $2,500

Health & Wellness

Encouraging physical activity and supporting mental health through community programs or volunteerism.

Award amount: $1,000

Arts & Culture

Creating vibrant and dynamic communities through Arts programs and initiatives.

Award amount: $1,000

Community Care

Fostering an environment that embraces community and inclusion.

Award amount: $1,000

Education

Assists others in an instructional or educational role.

Award amount: $1,000

Cambrian Credit Union is proud to support its members throughout their learning journey. To date, Cambrian has provided over $210,000 to students pursuing post-secondary education through the Learning for Life scholarship award.

Eligibility Criteria

Cambrian's Learning for Life scholarship is open to students of all ages, at any year within their program. To be eligible to receive the Learning for Life scholarship award, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be a member of Cambrian Credit Union.
• Must be attending a recognized post-secondary institution within Manitoba for the 2026-2027 academic year.  
  • If award winners are on a waiting list for a program, the award money will be released upon proof of admission.
• Must be a resident of Manitoba.
• Must demonstrate active involvement in their community through volunteerism.
• Must not have been a previous winner of this scholarship.
• Award winners must agree to provide a graduating photo or headshot that will be used to promote the award on Cambrian’s social media accounts and website
• For verification purposes, applicants must provide their most recent transcript (high school or post-secondary) and proof of admission or proof of enrolment to a post-secondary institution within Manitoba. Please email these documents to community@cambrian.mb.ca using the same email address associated with your application.  

Please note: Employees of Cambrian Credit Union are not eligible for the award. Family members of Cambrian employees can apply, but this must be disclosed on the application.
