It was created in honour of Edward Ewanochko, a seminal figure in the development of transportation risk management programs in Manitoba, to promote professional growth within the truck transportation industry.

Applicants can be attending or planning to attend university, college, apprenticeship, private vocational institute, distance learning, or continuing education. The scholarship may be used to meet such expenses as tuition or books.

The selection of the Scholarship recipient is based on a combination of academic achievement, community involvement and financial need.
